BARTLEY SMITH GREENWAY - ENTRANCE OFF PLANCHETT ROAD.

The Bartley Smith Greenway (BSG) is a 15-Kilometre natural valley corridor that follow the course of the upper West Don River through expanding residential  and business development is named after Anne Bartley Smith of Aurora, who made generous bequest to the Toronto and Region conservation Authority (TRCA) for Restoration of the Don River. When complete, the BSG will provide a continuous multi-use trail system from Steeles Ave- northerly to Teston Road, Linking together a series of city parks and recreational facility through a natural corridor of scenic open spaces and wooded areas. Currently the trail system runs from Steeles Avenue east of Dufferin to Jacob Keefer Parkway and from Mc Naughton Road north of Major Mackenzie Drive to Cranston Park Avenue at Teston Road. The surface is mainly limestone screening with some sections of asphalt. It crosses Langstaff Road and Rivermede Road at grade, but passes under Highways 7 and 407 ETR. The southermost end at steeles Avenue is directly across from westerly trail in the City of Toronto Ross Lord Park. Public parking with direct trail access on south side of Langstaff Road east of Keel opposite Planchett Road. Trail Length 10+Kilometres. Trail Level Beginner.
